How does it work?

Salt is added to the pool water. After the salt is completely dissolved your pool or spa water should read approx 0.6% salt content. (Sea water is 3.5%)

The slightly salinated water then passes through the electrolytic cell and this produces chlorine gas, which prevents algae and purifies the pool or spa.

Salt is only lost by rain overflow, splash out or backwashing the filters.
